The main nomination period was closed on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:59PM ET.  Letters of Support are due by Wednesday, December 13, 2023, and are uploaded separately by the letter writers.

New Update: we have extended the nomination window for the 2024 Blavatnik Regional Awards for Young Scientists exclusively for the category of Chemical Sciences. If institutions did not use up the 15-nomination quota in the previous nomination period, they can submit additional nominations in Chemical Sciences on this website. The deadline for submitting additional Chemical Sciences nominations is Monday, December 18, 2023. Letters of Support for these new nominations are due separately from the letter writers by January 8, 2024. (Please also note that we no longer accept new nominations in Life Sciences or Physical Sciences & Engineering after November 29, 2023.)

The Blavatnik Regional Awards recognize the most promising postdoctoral-rank scientists and engineers working in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut. The Blavatnik Awards recognize exceptional individuals and their accomplishments in Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, and Physical Sciences & Engineering. Three Laureates will each receive $30,000 in unrestricted funds, and six Finalists will each receive $10,000 in unrestricted funds.

Nominations must be submitted by the institution’s official designee (official designees must notify the Blavatnik Awards team at blavatnikregionalawards@nyas.org of the delegation of responsibilities). Each institution may nominate up to fifteen individuals.
